Spore Now Available for Pre-Load!!!
Spore is now available for download from the EA Store (though the data will be unplayable until the game's September 7 launch). This download scheme, known as pre-loading, allows Electronic Arts' servers to avoid a launch day pounding from fans rushing to snag the game all at once, and also gives players something of a guarantee that they'll actually have the game on day one.EA estimates "30-60 minutes for the install to complete". Head over to the EA Store to begin!

Crack + Leak. Now the pirates win.

Actually, if they're smart about this, each DL has a unique ID. If it's cracked and spread around, all EA has to do is not allow that ID to access their servers.
IMHO, without the Sporepedia, you don't have a viable game.
On the other hand, this could be a trap. XDDD

I hope that the pirated versions wont work...so the creatures wont show up...and then they will be alone :D

you can put the install files on dvd, as back up, so you don't need to download the whole thing again, but you'll still need eadm, for drm-check
