Spore Plagued with Login Problems
 Invalid Login? Invalid Key? For those of you who have just bought the game and can't login, dont worry, you are not alone! Many people are reporting the same problem on the Spore EA Forums. Noone know what the problem is, or how many people this affects. EA assure me they are looking into this problem, but can't give a time frame on when it will be fixed. Lets hope it is soon. Remember you can still play offline, but you won't be able to enjoy Spore's online features. Update: EA and Maxis quickly fixed the problem :).

If you have not already registered on the EA forums don't bother trying to write on them. EA have disabled the forum registration.
If you are having problems with your CD key try putting the caps lock on before you type it in.

Kinda funny as I was just bitching at EA support the other day for having a lousy system for usernames/profiles/personas. Once you pick a name your stuck with it unless you want to jump through some unnecessary hoops, and EA isn't going to help you.
Your CredCard info is connected to it and there is no delete button for the account. It also doesn't play nice with FireFox.
Yay EA.

Looks like the issues past. As a canuk awaiting his GE copy I've been watching the forum all day and in the last hour or so there's been a wave of "At Last" 's so looks like whatever the problem was, it's been, or is the last stages of being, sorted out. Let's hope they've learned enough that this isn't an issue come the 7th.

Hear, hear. (BandraK) Mine should be shipped within five days after the North American release date. If only that time could be used for fixing other shinier/stronger/deadlier bugs. Such as a centipede that I saw the other that had a broken leg.

Well, it sounds like it's mostly been fixed. I think it will be fixed by the 7th (I got GE), although if it's not, it's not a big deal (although, it might cause random twitching everytime I go into the editors).
