Spore makes 'Best Inventions of 2008' List

Time magazine has included Will Wright's Spore in its list of the top 50 inventions of 2008.

The evolution sim was ranked at number 20 in the list, ahead of inventions such as 'The Bionic Contact Lens' and 'Thin-Film Solar Panels'.

The magazine refers to Spore as the "everything game" and calls it "blasphemy, brilliance or both".

The number one spot was awarded to the 'Retail DNA Test'. The 'Large Hadron Collider' ranked at number five, a lower than expected finish due to its failure to wipe out mankind. -Digital Spy
