It seems that during DICE 07 Will Wright has revealed some very interesting info. A new stage of gameplay. Yes, the game is now confirmed to have a level before cellular, the molecular level. The molecular level will be modeled after the Tetris games. This new stage was added and all of the stages were defined by Wright by what games he felt they we're like.

Umm... I'd rather have the game finished a bit earlier than playing Tetris... I'll wait full judgement on that until we can play the game though. :)

"At this point, feeling a little overwhelmed, a new slide appeared on the screen: "NEWSFLASH: This Is More Than We Can Afford To Build." It's an ambitious plan, to be certain, and only time will tell if everything we saw during the Spore team's presentation ends up -- and works well -- in the final product."
Thats the only thing that worrid me about that article. the rest of it was great!

Oh wow, I bet the stage will be a breeze and not even last that long, but wonderful read.
I'd also like to thank Slizard from the forums for helping uncover this article!

Give us a video!
Hot_Head - February 10th, 2007 - 18:15 I don't want to play tetris if its going to take the game longer to make...
Spore Man - February 10th, 2007 - 18:28
Is it really worth the time just to wait longer. I can't even see how this will work in the game. How will this benefit the creation of your creature?

I seem to remember playing some kind of little game while sims 2 was installing. I wonder if the molecular phase will just be one of those little games that keeps you occupied while the game installs.

The single question I've failed to see on every forum, discussion and newsfeed is what happens to you when you die? Can the creatures you play actually age?
If you die, do you have to restart back a little or do you just take over the body of another of your creations?
Dafool - February 14th, 2007 - 20:25
Taht question was answered in the previous article. Hopefully is helps.

I heard Will say that you don't get pushed back an entire evolutionary chain, but he didn't say exactly what you would witness on the screen.
I mean, would you watch yourself be eaten, then immediately flash over to another animal. Or is it basically "Game Over" and you move backwards?
He wasn't very clear on this. I would just hate the idea of working for an hour or two and losing it all because one of my many animals died... which leads to an even bigger question. Is dying when you're the only creature different or the same when dying with a large group of your kind?
