GC07: Up Close And Personal With Spore

gc07cre4.jpg Over at the Leipzig’s Game Convention 2007, Game Informer got to Demo the upcoming title of Spore with an EA representative to help guide them through. They demo'd creature stage all the way up to before the space phase which unfortuneately the demo ended and didn't allow them to run through that phase. They were told that the cell stage that they skipped would take approxiametly 30 minutes.

With that, the demo ended. While we didn’t get to see the space portion of the game, where players explore other planets and interact with native species, we definitely got a better understanding of how all the various parts fit together. The game’s scale is truly massive, and people who love to tinker with things are going to be in heaven. The game’s stylized look is sure to win the hearts of new players, too. While it doesn’t look like something you’re going to want to load up specifically to show off your gaming rig to your buddies, the whimsical feel definitely fits the game.

There are more stars than all of the grains of sand on earth.

You can see stars from the bottom of a well even in day light.

Stars with really strong gravity cause themselves to become smaller and smaller and eventually turn into black holes.
