Lost On The First Day Of High School / Annoying Mailmen
Today was the first day of school. I am a Freshmen at a fairly large High-school so I was pretty lost. I couldn’t find my SRB room. (It’s our version of a homeroom or study hall) I asked a couple people and they kept pointing me in the direction of the room my SRB teacher had last year. They meant well, but they only confused me. I probably wouldn’t have found it if I hadn’t run into a group of girls heading to the same class. They agreed to show me the way to the classroom. (Which was in a small building behind the school) I was relieved that I finally found someone who knew where I was supposed to be.
They were really helpful, but there are some people who just seem to want to get on people’s nerves. Today my dad got a letter from the city ordering him to trim the tree branches that were hanging over the sidewalk because they were in our mailman’s way. Why did he have to get the authorities involved? If he had just knocked on the door and asked my dad to do it he would have. It couldn’t be because he was shy, that’s for sure. He’s always saying, “Hi” to people he see’s when he’s doing his route.
Why do some people always want to get the law involved on every small thing?

Some people just like to piss people off =P .. but anyways, you’ll get used to highschool quickly. Trust me, I’m going into my last year of highschool in September, and compared to my first year it’s a LOT different. They really are some of the best years of your life, don’t let them fly by, because they really will. I can’t believe I’m already in my last year!!

You’re lucky you had some experience with public (or at least private) school before. Being homeschooled and jumping straight into Junior-level highschool was tough… Glad you were able to find you class… and some girls
As for the tree thing, our mailman is simply incompetent, leaving random people’s mail in random people’s mailboxes. He’s either been fired or has gotten better now, though. Hope your mailman problems get resolved!
