My concept creations
Word of warning: My train of thoughts, Keep up if you can otherwise your lost.
Well first I would like to say that this wordpress is the same kind of blog I got for my website so its pretty neat and that I can now show you my concepts. The concepts I’m going to show you are my creative units I came up with for a game called “Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption”. These units you see are from that game and might have a high percentage of actually appearing in the game if the editor is friendly.
This is where you can find all my concepts:
http://pff.swrebellion.com/forum/index.php?topic=4533.0
And heres the ones that will appear in the game:
Quick Assault Tank, Armed for quick attacks and swift speeds.

The Sword Below is what will appear ingame but the writings will not since its a concept after all.

Light Fighter, meant for swift attacks until the main bomber groups arrive.

There are more concepts that I have done that seem not to be in that thread. Well those are a fraction you could expect to see in the game and the others that I create will be shown on my actual blog on my site for you to look out for.
From what I seen in the parts editor (on certain screens) worries me on how creative they will allow us to get. I’ve seen very basic parts that I wish could be added in through patches (and not those lame booster packs) that would give me far more flexibility. When I say to allow creative flexibility I mean something more then the average game user would make (something simple) and more of whats complex. Since I make music and try to draw, I try to go in areas that weren’t touched and to those areas that I feel like exploring (i.e anime vehicles, weapons, characters). If I am blocked in an area that won’t allow me to create what I want I ask for a mod, request one, look for one. If Spore holds me back in creating my ultimate creations (and the developers doesn’t listen to feedbacks from the community) then you know EA doesn’t give a sh** about you or how you play their game. Maxis might but EA probably won’t.
Creature:
For those who have watched Pokemon might have seen Scyther or its evolved form, Scizor.

It won’t look exactly like it but the basic style I want for my creature would be similar to this. This creature is going to have wings and claws (like above) so it can properly hunt without worrying about its enemies.
Off topic ending:
And now to the last point that has nothing to do with creativity but how someone said something about Halo’s popularity. I saw people play it, I saw videos, I played the demo and still can’t find out whats so special that it has to be treated as a godly game? If anything its weaker then Battlefield 1942. You can’t compare Spore to Halo since Halo series is just a mediocre game series, while Spore hasn’t been properly explored yet. You can argue all you want about how great it is but I still find it shittier then the Battlefield series since you got the same crap really, but more cartoony for Halo. I think people got pissed off by some British game reviewer saying that Halo was a total pile of sh**, later with angry fan mail heading his way.
If we’re going to rate Spore’s popularity (and what it has to contribute) lets use something far more worthy such as Battlefield; adding in Arcade sandboxing or Rebellion which inspired Star Wars Empire at War/Forces of Corruption which allowed Sin of the Solar Empire to be born. In Rebellion you could manage land and space units which SW: EaW managed and SIN:SE pulled off. What did Halo do? Its just reusing the formula that other games used and pretending its new for the North American populace. Hey while we’re comparing I’ll add in GTA (Grand Theft Auto) series. You were put in a Sandbox doing missions at your leisure without worrying where you had to go in a linear manner which other games did. You could simply sandbox creating mayhem at your pleasure. What can we compare Spore with? Well I’ll compare it in popularity and uniqueness to Grand Theft Auto, Sim City, The Sims, and for a space example lets say…….Rebellion. Maybe if you want to add one more thing, lets try Flight Sim for the “fly where you want” aspect.
Now for the last point in this ending topic why is Gundam always getting under-rated while American games are getting overhyped? Gundam 3-7 average rating while something like Halo, GTA, Bioshock, Company of Heroes get over-rated ratings. It pisses me off to the max that I started to split ways with the gaming community in the reviews area shitting on everybody who hasn’t got a clue. When culture clashes there sure can be some pretty shitty outcomes as seen with Americans hating Asian and European culture/objects. When a European or game trailer is shown on gametrailers I always see; shitty, this game suchs, stupid japanese, ah weak graphics, cliche, ah another japanese dating game, gay. Then we got something like Grid and we get these responses: Oh sweet its going kick gran Turismo 5’s ass, Nice we finally get to race again, this game owns, hey we can crash unlike in Gran turismo 5 shweet!. I could go on but I don’t want to type a novel.

Now if you managed to follow my train of thoughts congrats, but for those who got lost I’m sorry but thoughts are hard to follow (let alone spending hours proof reading them).
hard to follow but nice ideas
