Uber’s Spore Adventure: Part 1 - Cell Phase
Intellectual Ramblings has finally gotten Spore, and who better to test it than our own Uber-Gam3r? Today, we’re showing his visit to the Cell Phase, and the events therein.
Welcome to my jaunt through the Cell Phase! I started as a small green carnivore, and immediately started chowing down on the little meat packets around me.
It didn’t take long for me to build up some DNA and find a little love blob.
After some genetic editing, I continued gorging myself, but this time on something that was actually alive.
As I got bigger, these massive things showed up… I died twice, but eventually managed to escape, despite my meager speed stat.
I soon found the proboscis, and I must say, this is the best mouth in the cell phase! If you make it long enough, you can bypass nearly any defense the creature has, and stay locked on until it dies.
The phase was sadly short, but it did give me a good feel for the movement controls, and it was a fun little minigame! I’ll be back soon with the creature phase! Hope you enjoyed this small walkthrough.

Great post Uber! I’m working on mine, although, sadly, I haven’t really been taking any screens. I was just too into the game I guess

Awesome screenshots. I feel like such a n00b at this game. I got the proboscis, too, but I didn’t know that you had to keep lengthening it to make it really work. That’s why I kept having trouble latching onto my prey… lol. Now I know better.
*sigh* Like Maniac, I’m having so much fun with the game that I’m not sure when I’ll get to blogging. XD Maybe I’ll try putting up some screenshots of my Creature experience (which has been somewhat of a bumpy ride… trying to be a goody-two-shoes doesn’t always work out :P) and start there, though I’m not sure when I’ll get to that, lol. Thanks again for the great post!
